How does evidence affect case review?
How does evidence affect case review?
Reviewers see all evidence and can request additional supporting files if claims lack proof. Evidence quality impacts whether cases move to Verified status.
Evidence in Search
When you search for a keyword, FTS indexes evidence filenames and captions. If you search “bearing failure” and a case has evidence captioned “Bearing failure thermal image,” that case will appear in results.Currently, FTS does not perform optical character recognition (OCR) on images or full-text indexing of PDF content. Index your evidence by using clear filenames and captions.
Collaborative Review with Evidence
During review cycles, reviewers can:- Add comments tied to specific evidence items
- Request clarification or additional supporting files
- Annotate PDFs and images with feedback
Storage & Retention
- Evidence files are retained as long as the case exists
- Deleting a case removes all associated evidence
- Deprecated cases retain their evidence for historical reference
